With the COVID-19 pandemic still rampaging around the globe (Thanks CCP), Air Canada has had to make some difficult decisions. Thirty domestic routes have been suspended indefinitely, and the airline will close eight stations in Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick.

All the cut services connect smaller communities throughout Canada. Some of those communities will now be left without any air connections altogether.

The list of cuts include:

Deer Lake-Goose Bay

Deer Lake-St. John’s

Fredericton-Halifax

Fredericton-Ottawa

Moncton-Halifax

Saint John-Halifax

Charlottetown-Halifax

Moncton-Ottawa

Gander-Goose Bay

Gander-St. John’s

Bathurst-Montreal

Wabush-Goose Bay

Wabush-Sept-Iles

Goose Bay-St. John’s

Baie Comeau-Montreal

Baie Comeau-Mont Joli

Gaspé-Iles de la Madeleine

Gaspé-Quebec City

Sept-Iles-Quebec City

Val d’Or-Montreal

Mont Joli-Montreal

Rouyn-Noranda-Val d’Or

Kingston-Toronto

London-Ottawa

North Bay-Toronto

Windsor-Montreal

Regina-Winnipeg

Regina-Saskatoon

Regina-Ottawa

Saskatoon-Ottawa

Communities that will be completely abandoned by Air Canada:

Bathurst

Walbush

Gaspé

Baie Comeau

Mont Joli

Val d’Or

Kingston

North Bay

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has expressed his disappointment with Air Canada’s decision.
