In a move that should sadly surprise no one, British Airways has notified its employees that the airline will seek to accelerate the retirement of the twin-deckers from the fleet.

The value of 1:400 and 1:200 BA 747 models just increased. [wink]

Truly sad, probably means I'll never get the chance to fly on a BA 747 [bawl]

Gentlemen,

I echo your sentiments. The thought of a British Airways fleet without a 747 is hard to fathom. With the 747 gone from the Virgin Atlantic fleet as well, 747s in the UK will be a rarity.
