Great photos Ron. Shame services had to stop, it certainly was an iconic airliner with only one blemish in its career.

I recall my visit to the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace  (Air and Space Museum), Paris, France, south east of Le Bourget airport, where they have two Concordes side by side facing each other so you walk through one out through the front doors and straight into the next exiting the rear doors of the second. An amazing sight. Much smaller on the inside than I thought it would be. But very awesome.

Whoever said innovation is supposed to take you forward?
We look to the day a worthy successor will arise. Till then we simply wait.

Nice pics indeed.

So very, very true. [thumb] Why we have yet to see one, is beyond me. As they say, "if you build it, they will come."

Perhaps things would be easier to build if they came before you built it. [biggrin]

IIRC, not many aircraft had two different liveries on two sides. Luckily, Concorde - the sleek supersonic airliner - got it!

The BA side:

Besides BA, AF and Braniff, Singapore Airlines used to operate a Concorde, with service from Singapore to London via Bahrain. The serviced was not long, though....

Great memories, thanks for the photos.

I remember seeing the Concorde when working in London in the 70's each time it returned to Heathrow from Bahrain.
