Truly what a mess. Seeing how things have gone with the A330MRTT in other countries I think it's safe to say that sticking with the KC-45 could've avoided many of these problems.

I can recall the furor when the Air Force selected Airbus. Boeing nearly had a coronary. Their lackeys in Congress quickly went to work. We know how the story ends.
