On This Day In Aviation History - 30 October 1979


Sir Barnes Neville Wallis passes away in Leatherhead, England, aged 92. Sir Wallis is best known as the inventor of the Bouncing Bomb used by the Royal Air Force in Operation Chastise (Dambusters Raid) during World War 2.
