Another Star, another Swiss, another A320-200, this time registered HB-IJN, named "Crans-Montana", 1/500 scale. This 21,8 years old A320 was delivered new to Swissair on December 1996, after SR bankrupt she was transfered to Swiss on March 2002. Painted in Star Alliance colors since February 2015.

Now my Star n.99, a Contact Air F-100, registered D-AGPH, without airline logo and with "flying on behalf of Swiss Air Lines International" stickers. The real machine was the only of the total five to wear these tiny stickers and one of the two with the different main pax door. The real machine started life at USAir on July 1990, as N865US, then Us Airways from February 1997 until November 2003. From February 2004 until January 2013, as D-AGPH, operated by Germania, DBA, Air Berlin, Contact Air (where she received Star Alliance colors) and OLT Express. After three years of storage, most with SAMCO Aircraft Maintenance, as PH-CXH, she was reregistered D-AGPH and taken by Avanti Air, on January 2016.

And finally my Star n.100!!! After many years of collecting this unusual theme I'm happy to at last reach this milestone! And I choose an unusually unusal one: a Varig 747-300M, registered PP-VNI, Star Alliance "Wrap Arround"/Varig 1996 split colors, 1/500 scale. I took this one many years ago, but were not officially part of my collection because I noticed it was a wrong model. When time finally came I made the correction/upgrade works which consisted:
- Removal of the right side livery, windowline, doors and other details;
- Removal of the VNI from the front fuselage sides, PP-VNI from rear left side and the original windows;
- Painted the right side Varig's blue belly & all four engines (too light) and and raised the front left side blue line (too low), added the checkered cheatline that was missing and repainted the blue of the United (too light);
- Applied the Varig livery decals on the right side and the new windowline and doors, with the side cargo door that was missing on the original model (The real plane was a -300M, not a -300) on the left side, also replaced the star on the fin;
There are very few online pictures of the plane available and I noticed the left side registration wasn't applied, so I did the same.
The real machine was delivered new to Varig On December 1985, received the new livery in 1996 and was painted for just few days in the split livery for the joining ceremony to Star Alliance in 1997. Sold to Atlas Air on May 2000, converted to freighter on October 2000 and registered N355MC, being operated for Polar Air Cargo. Withdrawn from use on February 12th 2012, stored at Mojave since February 20th 2012.

I added the red lines to show the difference between Varig's dark blue and United's dark blue, very diffcult to notice on the photo.

Impressive! This had to be a very difficult livery to reproduce.

That it is a real first class job Serio. The attention to detail is remarkable and it must have taken you some time to complete it. Well done.

Three more: n.101, 102 and 103!:envy:
The first is a Turkish Airlines A330-200, registered TC-LNB, 1/500 scale. The real metal was delivered new to Kingfisher on August 2008, retired on November 4th 2011 and then stored until she was painted in Star Alliance colors and delivered to Turkish on September 2015, which started operations with her only on December same year. Operated for TAME for two months (June - August 2017). Still ative.

The third is a Lufthansa A321-100, reg. D-AIRW, named "Heilbronn", 1/500 scale. She was delivered new to Lufthansa on August 1997, is painted in Star Alliance livery since October 2012. Now I have all three Airbus single aisle types on service at LH in Star Alliance colors, soon or later the white tailed A320 will be added too.😉

Just finished another Star Alliance custom, another SAS A330. The real plane was delivered new to SAS on January 2004, registered SE-REF, in Star Alliance livery, was reregistered LN-RKL on November 2012 and was painted in standard livery on December 2014. I already made a model with the previous registration, so now here she is in its second identity.[biggrin]

After half a year, here's a new one, Star n.104: Austrian Airlines E-195, registered OE-LWH. She was delivered new to Lufthansa CityLine, as D-AEBJ, on October 2011, transfered to Austrian Airlines on August 2016 and painted in Star Alliance colors the following month. A long wanted model and a little dream come true![love]
